BIOLOGICAL SURVEYS

A Biological Inventory of Aquifer Caves in Florida with Special Emphasis on Troglobitic Crustaceans and Salamanders
Survey of faunal populations of various Florida Springs, 2003; project funded by Florida Springs Initiative Grant.

KES Biologist Tom Morris conducted a comprehensive biological survey of selected sites throughout Florida for various cave-dwelling species, to observe and record specie status and conditions of habitat.

Ecological Evaluation of a Site near Blue Springs, Lafayette County
Undeveloped site, Lafayette County, FL, 2002; for private client/landowner.

Conducted ecological surveys for client on 55 acre site near Blue Spring, describing, inventorying and evaluating biological and geological resources, including studies within underlying cave passages.

Survey for the Florida Cave Shrimp
Squirrel Chimney Cave System, Alachua County, FL, 1994, 1995,1996; for the US Fish and Wildlife Service (1992) and the Florida Game and Freshwater Fish Commission.

Conducted biological surveys of the Squirrel Chimney Cave System for the Florida Cave Shrimp (Paleomonetes cummingi), other species, and observed the condition of the site environment. Reports included a cave survey map, photographs, and video.
